MRW & MRS - Modular Robotic Wrist
Description
MRW and MRS are modular and reconfigurable multiple joint modules. Each module is composed of a motor, precision reduction gear, position encoder, motor amplifier, limit switches, and inside cabling for each degree of freedom; and a shared on-board computer controller. These modules, along with our MRJ modules, are the building blocks of all our MRR systems.

Modules - Multiple dof
- MRW-RPR: 3 dof
- MRW-RP: 2 dof
- MRL-LR: 2 dof
Features
- Modules can be used as a single unit, or as part of larger system.
- Existing modules can be configured for various applications.
- Every module is essentially a "node" in a LAN (local area network).
Benefits
- Compact design of wrist modules reduces weight and increases robot speed.
- Similar hardware and software for different type of robots makes training, and maintenance significantly less expensive.
- Robots and modules can be easily reconfigured for different uses.
Options
- Several grippers and end-effectors are available.
Specifications
- The modules can be interfaced and controlled by a remotely located PC computer.
