HC1 - Hydraulic Coupler & Tool Adapter
Description
The hydraulic coupler has been designed for quick connection and disconnection of hydraulic lines with one fitting. The coupler features two lines which can handle flow at 3000 psi in either direction and can withstand this pressure when disconnected. A hydraulic tool with tool adapter can be connected or disconnected automatically with a single linear motion simply by pulling or pushing on a locking ring. The same ring can be used for the automatic load/unload operation of the tools.
- Designed to carry a radial and axial load of up to 67.5 kg (150 lb)
- Coupler and the adapter of each tool are locked together with balls and the locking ring
- For safety, the coupler has an extra security pin which prevents the accidental disengagement of the adapter
- Both the coupler and the adapter have been designed in the form of several spring-loaded concentric rings which are sealed with "O" rings
- The hydraulic channels open only after both parts are sealed together, providing a leak-free design
- The coupler has been successfully used with several tools (with adapters) to perform forestry operations.
