Mobile Robots for Explosive and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and for other Hazardous Tasks

ESIs mobile robots cover a wide range of operational requirements related to remote handling, manipulation and neutralization of explosives, ordnance, biochemical, biological, and other hazardous items. The robots can be used for:
- Surveillance
- Reconnaissance
- Inspection and handling of hazardous items
- Manipulation of suspected packages
- Neutralization of such items as improvised explosive devices (IED's), hazardous chemicals, and radioactive materials.
The multi-purpose mobile robots are ideally suited for use by:
- Emergency response and SWAT (special weapons and tactical) teams
- Fire department personnel
- Hazardous goods response units
- Emergency measures units.
ESI mobile robots compare very favorably with commercially available EOD robots.
ESI provides two series of mobile robots and platforms:
- MR-Series: medium-to-large mobile platforms with long reach high precision arms; can move on wheels and/or with tracks (patent pending)
- LMA-Series: small-to-medium mobile platforms with variable configuration tracks for improved climbing and descent and mobility over uneven terrain (patent pending)
- MR and LMA Mobile Platforms: MR and LMA-Series are offered without arms as mobile platforms to carry a variety of sensing tools for various surveillance, reconnaissance and inspection tasks.
