Description
The Janus pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) camera system is designed for emergency-response video surveillance, when rapid deployment and reliable operation in all weather conditions are essential. The system includes the remotely located PTZ camera unit and the controller connected by a standard computer network cable. Janus’ unique set of features makes it an ideal tool for a variety of critical incidents, SWAT, police, military, fire and other surveillance operations.
The camera unit provides an unobstructed view at any pan or tilt angle, including the view directly down from a mast mounting. The camera can be pointed with extreme precision, even at maximum magnification. The cable can be easily repaired or re-terminated in the field. Janus is powered from a single 12 V battery. Mounting accessories are provided to rapidly deploy the camera unit in a variety of locations, including tripods, masts, roofs, fences, etc.
