Andrew Goldenberg, PEng, CEng, FASME, FIEEE, President of Engineering Services Inc.

Dr. Andrew Goldenberg PhD is the founder (1982) of Engineering Services Inc. (ESI). He is the founder (2006) of Anviv Mechatronics Inc. (AMI). From 2000-2001 he was also the President of Virtek Engineering Sciences Inc., a company involved in biotechnology laboratory automation that was formed following the acquisition of part of ESI by a public company.

Since 1982 Dr. Goldenberg has also been a Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, cross appointed in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Goldenberg is also an Adjunct Professor at Ryerson University.

From 1975-1981 Dr. Goldenberg was an employee of SPAR Aerospace Ltd., of Toronto, the company that built the first Space Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (Canadarm).

Dr. Goldenberg graduated from the University of Toronto with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (Control Systems) in 1976. His Bachelor and Master of Science degrees were obtained from the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology, in 1969 and 1972, respectively.

Dr. Goldenberg is a former editor of the archival international journal IEEE Transactions on Robotics and Automation. He is also a member of the editorial boards of Robotica (Europe) and Robotics in Japan. He is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of ASME, a Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, and a Designated Consulting Engineer in Ontario.

Dr. Goldenberg has authored and co-authored over 33 patents, over 135 peer-reviewed journal papers, over 330 conference proceedings papers, 12 chapters in books, and has made numerous presentations at scientific and engineering conferences. He is currently involved in a number of research projects related to his domain of expertise at the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, University Health Network, and ESI.
